Female psychology is an amazing subject, something almost every man wants to understand and yet almost all don’t even know the basics. This articles aim is to teach you a few of the basics and then delve deeper into sub-sections of the massive area of female psychology, so don’t be go thinking this subject is going to be difficult to follow, it will be clearly laid out, you won't need any special knowledge to understand it, you just need life experience.
It took me a while to decide whether or not to place this in the dating section or the psychology section. I choose the psychology section because I believe this information is important for various areas of life. Now, let’s get stuck in tothe juicy information.
Before I start writing away about female psychology I’d like to quickly point out a few things and to tell you that this will be a multi-part article consisting of various sections that will fit together nicely.
I suspect the majority of people reading this will be male, but there will be some females too. So I won’t be gender specific when pointing out this information.
Nature Vs Nurture
Do you think men think like women? Or do women think like men? Or, do you think individuals just think differently of each other? Well whatever you currently think, I’d like to give you a few answers.
Most people these days were raised ‘politically correct’ meaning they were taught that men and women are basically identical with their psychology and all differences are basically social influences. This being the case, people are rewarded if they behave consistent with societies views of their gender and punished if they don’t. Because of this treatment, most people accept it and choose to conform to societies will.
To further point out the previous paragraph I’d like to use examples of common male and female roles. If a male was not to act dominant in a relationship with a female he would almost certainly pick up the characteristic of being a ‘wussy’ or commonly known as ‘pussy whipped’. If a female was to be assertive, she would be seen as ‘bitchy’ because the behaviour is out of the general female gender characteristics.
Evidence
Studies carried out with infant’s show that boys tend to be orientated towards technology and girls more towards social items. This was carried out using male and female infants with a mobile phone and a human face. Boys preferred the phone, while girls preferred the face.
This proves that some behaviour patterns are innate and that’s the frame of mind I’d like you to be in when you read the rest of the article.

Evolutionary Biology
Many of you will know what Darwin taught, regarding humans and animals evolving. So I won’t go into great detail in this area.
Animals in every generation have random genetic variation, and those animals whose genes are best suited for their environment tend to do a little better, on average, than other members of their species. Over time, the advantage of doing “a little better” becomes compounded, and the nature of the species changes.
Seen in this way, each generation is a competition between different genetic make-ups. The competition takes place extremely slowly, but evolutionary time is very long. Assuming 30 years per generation, each million years allows for over 33,000 rounds of Darwin’s game.
Most of our genetic make-up today is a result of genetic mutations that have come from previous generations. Each mutation that gives an advantage wins out over time.
So What is An Evolutionary Advantage?
Success in evolutionary terms can be seen as –
- Surviving until he or she is old enough to have offspring of their own
- Having access to sex partners, to mate with
- Reproducing frequently
- Being able to protect and raise their offspring efficiently
After reading that list you should come to the conclusion how important evolutionary biology is to the dating scene. There are only two fundamental drives every human has, that are to survival and reproduce. So other than the basic need to survive, all other traits are for reproductive purposes.
Knowing this now, you can probably see why some men have more attention from women than others. So to end this article and part one of the female psychology mini-series, I’d like to add another portion on evolutionary biology and how it is today.
Evolutionary Biology Today
Our biology has been created over hundreds of thousands of years, but our environment has been created very rapidly. Due to the rapid changes in environment, evolution simply could not keep up with it, and this leaves us with how we are today, thousands of years in evolution terms behind our environment.
This means that many of the behaviours and biological influences are designed for a much older environment than we currently live in. For example, food was a rare and valuable resource thousands of years ago, so we’d store as much as we could whenever we could. This is the cause of obesity in our modern environment. This influence would have been greatly important thousands of years ago, but today it’s not needed because food is plentiful.
This brings us to the end of this chapter on female psychology; in the next instalment I’ll cover evolutionary biology for women, and the preferences they hold hardwired into their brains that make then choose certain men over others. So make sure you check back tomorrow to read that.
